It's Time to Grow

meet Alaina Fusco LMFT

Hi! I'm Alaina, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working virtually in Connecticut for the last 7 years.
Over the years, I’ve grown more passionate about helping people heal, and live more fulfilled, and balanced lives.

I don’t see people as “stuck” when they come to therapy and I don't treat people as though their diagnosis is their identity. I believe that life can throw a lot at us, and despite all your best intentions, things got tough resulting in you not feeling well, whether that be on your own or within your relationship. Clients that are the most successful working with me are the ones who are hoping to change this in their lives.Therapy with me isn’t one-size-fits-all. I tailor my approach to your specific needs, taking time to get to know you, with the intention of meeting your specific and unique goals for therapy. My therapeutic style is authentic, collaborative, and direct. I strive to create a compassionate and warm space, balancing this with being honest and straightforward. Together, we will explore childhood

memories, regulating your nervous system, and even talking about your new favorite song.  I’m here to guide you through the process of self-discovery and healing, wherever it may take you, and to create a space where you can explore, heal, and grow at your own pace. A holistic approach to mental Health,
Helping you improve your life and relationships

Specialties

Integrative Mental Health is at the core of the work I do. I believe mental and physical health are deeply connected, working as a system that makes up our overall health and wellness. No stone goes unturned when it comes to identifying the different areas of your life that may be integrated into your mental health journey. Together we explore all parts of your life including family relationships and attachment styles,  your relationship to nutrition, exercise and sleep patterns, and more. This way you are being treated as a whole person. Think about it, if you aren't sleeping well for extended periods of time for example, that's bound to have an impact on your mental health in some capacity, right? Together we take that into consideration and try to make improvements.

My areas of expertise include relationship issues, whether you are in treatment as an individual or a couple, anxiety, life transitions such as becoming a parent, getting married, or navigating a new career all together, and women's health issues such as supporting women navigating infertility, struggling with hormone imbalance, and advocating for their health with their medical team. With these areas of interest being much of the work I do, I believe everyone can benefit from an integrative approach to mental health overall. If your area of need isn't listed here, fill out the contact form to inquire about whether we might be a good fit for what you are hoping to get out of therapy.
